Two Web3 leaders, FLock and Chainbase, are pleased to announce a multi-channel partnership as pioneers of the decentralised AI movement. Together, they are uniquely positioned to enhance the democratisation of transparent, modular, and composable AI development.

FLock stands at the forefront of federated machine learning on the blockchain. Having recently closed a $6 million seed round, it is building a world-first collaborative and composable dAI fine-tuning platform with on-chain governance, local training and hosting, and RAG. The London-based startup, founded by a group of Oxford graduates, is on a mission to redirect power from centralised corporations into the hands of the community.

Chainbase is the world’s largest omnichain data network designed to integrate all blockchain data into a unified ecosystem, providing an open and transparent data interoperability layer for the AI era. Its dual-chain technology architecture bridges the programmability and composability of crypto data, which supports high throughput, low latency, eventual determinism, and higher cybersecurity through a dual staking model. Chainbase has recently raised a $15 million series A to foster the open AGI economy.

FLock and Chainbase partner to combat centralised AI

FLock and Chainbase share the mission to battle the dominance of centralised AI. The key barrier limiting AI development is the centralised control maintained by a few large corporations. AI training, decision-making processes, and data storage are controlled within a single entity or location. This monopolisation exacerbates biases, diminishes public engagement and raises serious data protection concerns.

Decentralised AI offers a sustainable solution that encourages participation and innovation among communities of developers, with equitable rewards. FLock and Chainbase, by providing an end-to-end Web3 AI stack and on-chain data, are propelling this movement forward.

The partnership spans multiple channels: Text-to-SQL, showcasing of Chainbase’s Theia task model, data cleaning, and co-rewards.

Theia is a foundational crypto world task model developed by Chainbase on its omnichain data network. The task model is to be showcased on AI Arena, and its data is also to be cleaned on the platform, exemplifying a powerful use case of FLock technology. The two Web3 leaders are also designing a co-reward system to incentivise both of their communities with their crypto tokens.

Join FLock and Chainbase’s Text2SQL task on AI Arena

FLock launched the closed beta of AI Arena, an incentivised blockchain-based training platform in mid-May. Users stake tokens to join tasks as training nodes, validators and delegators, in a Kaggle-like competition. After a successful closed beta that saw 3,574 models submitted by 124 developers, and 112,750 validations by 256 validators, FLock is pleased to lift the whitelist. AI developers can now join with an active Github account.

A new task co-hosted by Chainbase and FLock is now live on AI Arena. The public is invited to create a powerful Text2SQL model for blockchain-related data. Users will build on Chainbase's powerful data schemas to help develop a model that lets people easily query blockchain data using simple, natural language commands, without the need for complex SQL syntax.

Whether you’re a seasoned developer or a passionate beginner, this task is your chance to learn, build, and connect with like-minded enthusiasts. Get involved on train.flock.io. Access and join the Chainbase community of builders, partners and enthusiasts to build the future of crypto data together.
